KBC Health & Safety takes its African expansion to Mine Entra 2026

As part of KBC Health & Safety’s strategic expansion into regional African markets, our team recently attended the 28th edition of Mine Entra 2026, held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo. Attending alongside our local Zimbabwean partner, the event provided an invaluable platform to connect directly with the region’s rapidly growing mining, engineering and industrial sectors. This year’s theme focused heavily on anchoring economic transformation through integrated mining value chains, aligning seamlessly with KBC’s commitment to driving operational efficiency and workforce safety across sub-Saharan Africa.

Throughout the exhibition, our delegation engaged in meaningful discussions with major mining houses, Tier 1 contractors and engineering service providers from across the region. These interactions offered direct insight into the localised challenges facing site managers and safety directors today. Most notably, our engagements highlighted crucial systemic gaps in current contractor onboarding and training processes. Many operations struggle with extended site-entry lead times, fragmented safety compliance protocols and inconsistent skills verification across third-party workforces. These friction points directly impact operational productivity and safety outcomes.

These conversations reinforced a clear demand within the Zimbabwean market for KBC’s specialised expertise in contractor management, duty-of-care training and workforce compliance systems. By combining our proven African track record with strong local partnerships, KBC is uniquely positioned to bridge these operational gaps.

Streamlining onboarding workflows and implementing standardised, site-aligned safety training will enable regional operations to protect their workforce while building sustainable local capacity. As we advance our expansion initiatives in Zimbabwe, we look forward to establishing lasting partnerships that uphold a Zero Harm culture and keep our clients moving forward.
